ICCE conducted training for Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones

Transitioning towards a Circular Economy-

International Council for Circular Economy conducted training in Saudi Arabia’s Dammam for the SMEs in that region. The capacity building program was conducted by our EU advisor Axel Darut.oHe worked extensively with MODON – in collaboration with Al Madar for the deployment of a circular economy roadmap for Saudi Arabian SMEs. Enriching exchanges happened on an energy and political context favourable to the deployment of a circular economy and a progressive environmental and economic awareness of companies to respond to the challenges of reduction, reuse and recycling.

The deployment of shared infrastructures for waste management, the consideration of eco-design and life cycle analysis issues and the implementation of a regulatory framework favorable to the deployment of circular waste management; are all issues that will continue to feed the reflections of the various actors in the value chain

The capacity building program is one of the many programs that would be conducted by the International Council for Circular Economy in KSA. Earlier in 2021 an MoU was signed between ICCE and Al Madar for conducting a series of such programs.
