Progressive Schools

ICCE engages students in one of the most challenging and complex issues facing our global economy: how to move beyond the linear ‘take-make-waste’ model of production and consumption to one that is regenerative. By supporting circular economy learning we equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to build a system that works for society, the economy, and the environment. We introduce the concept of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Progressive Schools aims to educate, inculcate eco-friendly habits like segregation, responsible waste management among the students, parents and staff through interactive sessions, rewarding recycling programs. The circular economy, with systems thinking at its core, is applicable to a range of disciplines. As such, it is suited to an interdisciplinary, project-based approach, emphasizing inquiry, collaboration, and creativity. We aim to accelerate this approach by:
  • Understanding SDGs and Circular Economy
  • Activating shared projects
  • Showcasing and informing excellence in circular economy teaching and research
  • Harnessing the power of the education sector to accelerate the circular economy transition in global cities
