‘Are you aligned with our mission of a net-zero, resilient and just society by 2030? Are you interested in leveraging innovation for system change?’
If the answers are yes, the EIT Climate-KIC Innovation Call 22 could be the perfect fit. Offering partial funding, the pan-European programme is focused on innovations in five areas: city systems; land use systems; circular economy and materials systems; enabling technologies in service of mitigation and, or, climate adaptation; a just transformation – which ideally can contribute to systemic change.
“We are calling for proposals to take innovative action to address a decarbonisation and, or, climate adaptation challenge in one of these five areas,” the EIT Climate-KIC website states. “This is an open innovation call where we invite the best ideas and proposed commercial solutions from across Europe to apply for funding to achieve innovation development, testing, deployment and refining in real economy contexts.”
The initiative aims to pave the way for innovators, researchers, scientists, coaches, and experts to join forces in projects that ‘aim to bring innovative solutions to the European market’.
“We will also support existing innovations that may seek to expand into new markets across Europe and require support to do so,” EIT Climate-KIC states.
The application deadline is 18 November.
